Our parental body is a key element of our community. And every parent with a child at Sherborne Prep School is a 'Friend'. Whether your child is in Nursery or Year 8, as a school parent, you are very welcome as part of the "Friends' Association".
The Friends support and welcome new parents and families to the Prep and to ensure that being a party of the community is inclusive and enjoyable as possible from the very start. Brimming with enthusiasm and energy, the Friends organise and social and fundraising events. In addition to regular get-togethers and meetings, the Friends organise a number of social activities for parents and families such as the Summer Fete, The Prep Ball, The Christmas Fair, a school disco, Reeling, Quiz Nights and suppers and parties throughout the year. The mums' netball club on a Tuesday morning is also great fun.
As a new parent you will find the warmth of welcome and the helpfulness of Sherborne Prep parents second to none, and Class Reps are always delighted to try and arrange play dates or picnics for new families to meet current parents and pupils in the holidays before you join, so that you already feel part of the school before you officially start with us!
