Before moving into the teaching profession, Briony graduated with a BA(Hons) in Music and Psychology from the University of Exeter, worked for The Wombles (yes, really!) and then spent a very happy five years working for Comic Relief. It was after this, and teaching in the state sector for a couple of years, that Briony developed an interest in special educational needs. Briony has a particular drive to understand an individual pupil's profile and how best to support them finding the best version of themselves. She has a keen interest in the science and research behind teaching and learning to help ensure pupils are as engaged and motivated as possible in the classroom.

Head of Pre-Prep
Cassie graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BEd with Maths in 1998. She began her teaching career in South West London, working at a number of inner city schools, teaching across all the primary age groups. With two young children in tow, Cassie moved with her family to Sherborne where she initially worked at Milborne Port Primary School as the Deputy Head before her career was rudely interrupted by the arrival of a further two children, twin boys! Four children made teaching full-time naturally challenging, however Cassie continued to teach at Trent Young's Primary School whilst also using her well-honed skills to provide private tutoring for children on a one-to-one basis. She joined Sherborne Prep in October 2020. When presented with a spare moment, Cassie enjoys running and keeping fit.
