Buzzy children, a warm community and standout grounds in our beautiful Abbey town are of course wonderful (and you really have to visit to understand), but we enjoy several unique factors that we like to see as the Sherborne Prep Difference.
Cross-curricular days each term are organised by our effervescent Miss Gates and see the School come alight with a sense of excitement, anticipation and an ‘all in’ approach from staff and children alike. It is commonplace to see teachers egged on with jousting, dressing up, joining their choir, participating in a Tug of War competition, never mind parents diving in too, combining to take on the children... before you ask who won, they broke the rope!
Colour runs, world record breaking speakers, explorers, Micro adventures, animals (including an author with a horse), books at breakfast, creative writing evenings and, in 2023, a mere 23 day trips! Not to mention the academic curriculum which follows the PSB, encouraging children to develop collaboration, independence and communication amongst other key skills, they truly flourish in their learning.
Our academics are always strong and ambitious and our Co-Curricular just keeps on growing! Sailing, Climbing, Coding, Sailing, Fencing, Textiles, Golf, Tennis, Dragon TV (among many others) - on top of all sports, all music, all drama, all extra academic subjects - no wonder everyone is exhausted at the end of each term!
