A Musical Triumph for Tusk

Mar 27th 2019

What a huge success the Tusk Music Concert was last night. As always, the standard of music here at The Prep is outstanding and a real testament of the work that Mrs Fawbert and the pupils put in to their performances. With a huge array of musicians performing, the audience enjoyed an African inspired menu with some African themed performances from the orchestra and brass and cello ensembles as well as some fabulous singing from our prize winning Chamber Choir. We also were treated to some wonderful solo performances from pupils and teachers - Mr Fawbert's cafe inspired 'Bone Idyll' was captivating as were the cello and viola performances from Mrs Coles and Mr Fisher. After the interval, and an interesting and informative talk by Dan Bucknell, Tusk Executive Director, the Jazz Band performed an array of lively, feel good numbers for us all and the evening certainly reached a pinnacle with mesmerizing and somewhat tear jerking solo performances from our Gap Student Miss Hyde and Olivia in Year 8. Thank you to everyone that came along to support the evening and thank you to all the team here for making the evening so special.
