Outdoor Learning
Our co-curricular outdoor learning is centred on a beautiful 22-acre woodland in the Sherborne Castle estate, located just a short minibus ride away from School. It puts pupils in real-world situations where problem solving, determination and commitment are proven. This facilitates their growth, giving them confidence in their abilities, an awareness of the value of working with others, and a willingness to try new things.
These experiences engender a lifelong respect for the natural world and an understanding of our place within it. They boost pupils’ self-esteem, enhance their communication skills and bring physical and emotional benefits.
In short, they foster positive habits that last a lifetime, ensuring our pupils are ready for whatever adventures come their way.
