Creative Arts

Performing and creative arts are an important part of Sherborne Pre-Prep and we encourage all children to express themselves through creative dance, mime and acting. They are also given plenty of opportunities to express themselves through art and craft using a wide range of materials.

The focus is often a class topic and children are supported and helped to gain confidence as well as a sense of pride and development of their own potential.

We have a new activities program 'Mini Maestros' available in Pre-Prep where we have linked with the Prep Music Department to provide specialist music teaching for our young children. Children may join Kodaly Singing, Rhythm Sticks, Stories with Music, Suzuki Violin and in addition to cello, violin and recorder which is available in Pre Prep, we can arrange for any child to have lessons on any instrument available in the Prep.
