Our wonderful Pre-Prep is situated in the heart of campus, overlooking our lower paddock, orchard and newly built playground. We accept children into our Pre-Prep when your child turns three and provide a safe and nurturing environment in which children thrive. We help all children establish secure relationships with each other and our staff, instilling a love of learning and laying strong foundations for their future.
Sherborne Pre-Prep is a school filled with the constant buzz of laughter and happiness that comes from children who truly enjoy learning at our school. This wonderful atmosphere is largely due to the strong family ethos that makes Sherborne Pre-Prep so special.
We adhere to many traditional values that promote the ‘soft’ skills such as kindness, collaboration, creativity, good communication and a sense of community. Yet we are also a modern school; coupling the very latest in educational thinking and practice with an eye on the future our children will build and inhabit in the years ahead and equipping them with the problem-solving and analytical skills they will need to succeed.
We have fantastic class-based teachers who nurture and protect. The Pre-Prep team show a real interest in all the children's triumphs and achievements as well as strong pastoral support when mistakes are made or things go wrong. Our pupils know that there is always someone to talk to about their problems, real or imagined. This, I believe, is what truly sets us apart.
Children develop in different ways and at different times and, given the right support and encouragement, will bloom in their own time. At Sherborne Pre-Prep we provide them with a vast array of opportunities, whether it’s through music, sport, art, drama, or extended academic work. Every child should have the chance to shine and grow in self-confidence and, at Sherborne Pre-Prep, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver these opportunities to each and every child.
We prepare boys and girls from the age of 3 - 7, for a life-long love of learning. We believe that these early foundation years really matter, and choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make on their behalf. We care about the whole development of your child; academically, physically and emotionally. We welcome new children to join us in our friendly Reception, with those attending our Nursery having automatic entrance.
