The Year 5 children spent a wonderful day at the coast, learning about the coastal processes that created the cove and Durdle Door. They enjoyed a fascinating guided walk with a coastal ranger, who took them to some wonderful vantage points so that they could clearly see the different layers of Portland and Purbeck stone, and chalk.
After a seaside picnic the children ended the day with a great deal of energetic paddling wave-jumping, and a very happy bunch returned to school.
