Sherborne Pre-Prep record breakers

Sherborne Prep School Pre-prep children took part in the 'Sign to Sing' record breaking attempt on Wednesday 8th February. Sign to Sing is an event organised by the SignHealth charity working to support profoundly Deaf children, young people and adults throughout the UK. Schools around the UK all had to learn the song and the sign language to go with it and then perform it at exactly 2.45pm on Wednesday, to try to break the world record of the number of people signing and singing at the same time.

With approximately 130,000 people all taking part at the same time, the world record was broken. Head of Pre-Prep, Heidi Berry, said this was a great event, helping to raise money for this worthy charity. It certainly helped to raise awareness of how fortunate we all are to have good hearing. Everyone had great fun taking part and we hope to help them break the World Record again next year.
