The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe

Students from Years 7 and 8 at Sherborne Preparatory School put on two outstanding nights of theatre for their Senior Production of 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. The adaptation of C.S. Lewis's classic adventure tale was an ambitious challenge for the young performers and they rose to it with impressive professionalism. There were several outstanding individual performances from the lead actors, who captured their characters perfectly.

Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy formed a perfect family as they fought a terrifying White Witch alongside a proud Aslan and the endearing Mr and Mrs Beaver. Some superb cameo appearances in the form of Mr Tumnus, Maugrim, Father Christmas and the Professor added sparkle to a fantastic chorus of magical Narnian animals and the whole thing was held together by the all-knowing Narrator. The standard of drama and maturity of the performers was impressive and made this outstanding production the perfect start to the festive season.
