The Friends' Christmas Fair last Friday was an outstanding success, with more parents and children there than ever before. The fair opened quietly with a steady stream of pre-prep children leading their parents around the stalls, from the soft toy tombola, to the book stall, en route to Father Christmas hidden in the corner, but of course stopping at the chocolate fountain on the way!
When the Prep children and their families arrived at 5pm, the hall became a hive of activity, with parents and children everywhere. The lucky dip was 3 rows deep with children, the soft toy tombola ran out of soft toys within twenty minutes, Father Christmas had to come out for some sustenance by 5.30pm and everyone had great fun decorating biscuits (and eating them). The children were trying to evade their parents so that they could discreetly go to the very popular 'presents for parents' stall and choose something for them and get it gift wrapped ready for Christmas. Everyone had a lovely time and to top it all the Friends made approximately £800 in the process.
