Sport

Sport is an important part of the curriculum at Sherborne Preparatory School, because it is true that a healthy body means a healthy mind. Sport provides a balance between mental and physical exercise and enhances team spirit and the sense of community that is at the heart of Sherborne Prep.

Our ethos of sport is that all children are encouraged to participate and are supported and guided by enthusiastic, talented coaches all working to help each child reach his or her full potential. The range of activities offered means that children are able to represent the school in both team and individual sports, allowing them to shine in a number of different arenas.

We are currently developing our sport curriculum, expanding the number of sports on offer and focusing on improving fitness and stamina across the school. So much talent can be seen in our children today and we are dedicated to nurturing this and providing an excellent start to each child’s school sporting career.
