At Sherborne Prep School we aim to meet the needs of each child as an individual and they are supported not only by the enthusiastic and committed staff but also by each other as a community and family. There is a real warmth and vitality about the School and visitors always comment on the happy children. You will also see for yourself the variety and excellence of our staff. We provide a wide range of opportunities on the academic, creative and sporting fronts whilst allowing children to be children. Consistently, all our pupils are successful at reaching the Senior Schools of their choice and leave feeling delighted in their many achievements. Over the last four years Sherborne Prep pupils have won an outstanding 84 scholarships and awards out of 160 leavers!

As an independent prep school for girls and boys aged 2 to 13, we enjoy beautiful grounds in Sherborne with the benefits of the surrounding Sherborne Schools. We offer both day and boarding and whilst not a large boarding school, the children in the boarding houses are the envy of many day pupils who look forward to making use of the flexible boarding on offer. Sherborne Prep has been described by parents "as worth moving house for" and "the best kept secret". We believe that the earliest years of children's lives are the most precious of all and their experiences will shape their future happiness.
