A large number of fundraising events take place throughout the year - many of which are organised by the children. They are often great fun and very effective in raising not only money but awareness and understanding. We hope that through this the children will start to have a wider perception of the world in which we live and help those less fortunate than ourselves by supporting various charities.
The Pre-Prep support this charity by taking part in a sponsored Children's Marathon for Leukaemia every year, performing 26 actions 26 times, raising money to fund research into causes and treatments, supporting families through welfare programmes and campaigning on their behalf.
We support Educaid, who run the only free secondary schools in Sierra Leone, promoting education among the underprivileged and war affected young people of Sierra Leone.
Year Two children planned and ran a 'Bring a Book for Haiti' book and cake sale to raise funds for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The School collects donations of non-perishable food at Harvest Festival, which is distributed by The Lord's Larder to those in need.
We are proud to support our armed forces and raise funds for the Poppy Appeal every year. We also host a speaker from the Royal British Legion in an assembly close to Remembrance Day, lest we forget.
We support Operation Christmas Child - the world's largest children's Christmas project. Children take great joy in filling shoeboxes with gifts and goodies which are sent to children who need them most in some of the toughest parts of the world.
